The
design features plants and animals
found in Oklahoma, including state
symbols such as the scissor-tailed
Flycatcher. The plants and animals
depicted are simplified and stylized
using bold blue and verdant green
to the brilliant oranges and pinks
found in an Oklahoma sunset. The images
are layered and overlapped to outline
to help it stand out from the whole.
The buffalo itself provides the background
in black to bring the bright colors
forward and provide a dramatic yet
whimsical

contrast.
Each animal and plant will have its
name clearly but unobtrusively included
in the design, in the hopes that children
who view the buffalo will be inspired
to learn more about the plants and
animals that inspired this work.
