Description

First
of all, I am extremely excited about
the idea of this project. Since I
am Native American, I would really
like to be a part of the creation
of one of the buffalo. My buffalo
sketch is just that, a sketch. I want
to emphasize how important detail
is to me. My work is known for its
detail. My design is to use acrylics
and oils to create a beautiful, detailed
painting of a Native American rug
draping across the back of the buffalo.
The swirls coming from the headdress
of the Native American intertwine
with the buffalo and join the Indian
and buffalo as one. The Native American
figure's head is held up showing pride
in who he is and what he represents.

The
shield is the Oklahoma trademark standing
for pride of Oklahoma and the Native
American people it represents. The
buffalo will be done in high detail
from the hair, eyes, hoofs and etc.
Deep bold colors will be used for
the rug, soft blue for the headdress,
and a variety of earth tones for the
rest. Hours upon hours will be spent
on detail within the rug, Native American
figure, shield and buffalo itself
